What People's Say About Place

We have been to Shun Won many times, and this time we bought a whole roast duck and a whole scallion oil chicken. Both were delicious as usual, and the quality has been very consistent. The roast duck has great flavor, and the meat is not dry. The scallion oil chicken looks a little different from other places because the color is more yellow, but that is just the appearance — it still tasted very good and the meat was tender. There is usually a line every time we come, but the wait is not too bad. The staff comes out and takes orders from people in line, so you don’t have to wait until you get to the counter to order. That makes the line move faster. The restaurant has an old-school Flushing Cantonese restaurant feel. We also saw many people dining in for breakfast, so next time we would like to come back and try their breakfast and other dishes. Overall, this is a solid and reliable Cantonese restaurant with consistently good food. We’ll definitely keep coming back.

The food was excellent. The service is good. Traditional hong kong style chinese food. Very cheap compared to fancy restaurant. The quality and taste of the food is perfect. I ordered 130.50 take out and 85 dine in. The outside store front is very old style and not very attractive. I live in queens for over 20 years and only first time trying this restaurant. I would recommend this restaurant to everyone.

The place seemed very homely, food was good, they messed up one of the orders, but they provided a replacement which in my books it's a pretty good service with no issues. The place only takes (CASH)

Giancarlos was a OK waiter he spilled our drinks. But he gave us the beef as a gift from the chef to make up for the mistake. We ordered the pork. After 30 mins we finally got our pork. The pork was extremely salty. DO NOT RECOMMEND! Overall 4 stars. (NOT AFFORDABLE)

Giancarlos was exceptional in the food serving aspect of our experience at Shun Won. He gave us the fortune teller cookie thing and my fortune was "You will never amount to anything in life" I was kind of surprised of this because I know for a fact I WILL AMOUNT TO SOMETHING. Giancarlos reinforced my philosophy and told me to be the better person and always try and work hard in the lessons of life.

Have been here many times for its BBQ meats, soy chicken and roast duck. I particularly liked the roast pork here. The char siu here is good. The roast duck could be a hit or miss. The last time I was there which was a few days ago, it was a hit! Juicy well roasted duck breasts were served to our liking. Very popular spot with the locals as their menu selections are extensive. Eat and run or take-away sort of joint. Great value eats! Would recommend this place if you are looking to fill your tummy without breaking your bank account. Plus, the experience staff members are always welcoming.

This restaurant has been in my to try list for a long time, I finally visited it a day ago. It was very busy for their take out, but I can get a take right away, so don't be scary by the people at the front that doing takeout. The services were good, but don't expecting too much while they are busy helping those takeout and you. Good quality are good in all of my food, I enjoy their food, it's made in traditional Cantonese style, like in Hong Kong, may not be exactly the same but close enough for me. I will recommend this restaurant to others for their quality and price.
